I am active in disseminating research findings and promoting educational opportunities to the wider community.
I have conducted presentations and workshops for high school students, introducing them to key concepts in economics. Beyond describing what studying economics involves, I emphasise tangible examples of how to relate theory to the real world.
Additionally, I am an occasional contributor to media outlets. In January 2020, I was interviewed on the Danish national broadcaster’s current affairs programme, Deadline, about Australia’s climate change policies.
Recent activities
- Presentation to visiting high school students on studying economics at SDU (February 2025)
- Participation in the Danish Science Festival (Forskningens Døgn) at SDU (April 2025)
- Workshops on international economics for students attending the Academy for Talented Youth summer camp (June 2025)
Exhibition
To mark 150 years since female students were permitted to attend university in Denmark, I contributed to a special exhibition on women in higher education. The exhibition was initially launched in connection with a workshop and policy event at the University of Southern Denmark in March 2025. It was subsequently displayed as part of the Danish Science Festival (Forskningens Døgn), with selected elements also exhibited at Thriges Kraftcentral in Odense with the support of the Olav de Linde group.
I designed a series of informative banners and an interactive touchscreen through which users can explore the personal histories of the first female graduates. The initial exhibition also offered a selection of historical objects sourced from the university library and local historical societies.
The touchscreen display has now been repurposed as a standalone website, profiling the first 50 years of female graduates from the University of Copenhagen (1875–1925).
The exhibition is a partnership between:
- the Historical Economics and Development Group at the Department of Economics, University of Southern Denmark
- the Saxo Institute, University of Copenhagen
